Best ways to wear perfume

brand name perfume

To really get yourself noticed by everyone around you, perfume is definitely the way to do so. Once inhaled, the scent lingers even after the body has left the room. Because of this, many women choose to wear brand name perfume and different scents are brought out each year.
There are many ways how to wear perfume but if you don’t, or want to improve the way you already utilise it, the following guideline will take you through these.

Prepare yourself:
To wear a perfume you should prepare yourself. You should be free of all other scents. Wash your skin and brush your teeth. If you consume something strong, such as garlic, it could interfere with the way your perfume smells.

Try before you buy:
Do not purchase a perfume just because your friends love a certain scent. Shop around before you commit to buying a particular perfume. Perfume will smell different on each person so what smells slightly sweet on one person could turn out slightly sour on you. This is due to the different oils in your skin.

Build up a collection:
Perfumes are like dresses – there is one for every occasion. Lighter scents are best during the day whilst heady ones are perfect for nights out. Have a particular scent for special occasions.

Wearing perfume:
Instead of spraying your clothes, spray perfume onto your skin. The pulse points behind your ears, the base of your throat and your wrists are all good places to apply perfume but you can do it to the other pulse points on the body.

Match your clothing:
Although it may sound silly you can actually match your perfume to the colour of your clothes. Heavy, rich scents are perfect when you are wearing dark colours.

One last trick to use is to apply to slightly damp skin. When you do this, the perfume is said to last much longer than what it would to dry skin. Over time you will find and build a collection of perfume that suits you and your needs. More than this, you will learn more tips to wear perfume.
